LaVerne Council is an internationally recognized transformational leader and intrapreneur, sought after for her expertise in global operations, technology strategy, and organizational change.

Her experience as a senior global executive for Johnson & Johnson, Dell, Inc., and Ernst & Young, LLC provides her a unique perspective as an influencer, advisor, and Certified Master Personal and Executive Coach for Emerald One’s clients. LaVerne’s success as the Assistant Secretary for IT and Chief Information Officer of the Department of Veterans Affairs informs her work with Emerald One’s public sector executives. LaVerne is a board director for Thomson Reuters, ConMed, Concentrix, and GirlUp.

Nicole Mayerhauser, MBA

Chief Operating Officer

Nicole is a data-driven creative problem solver, bridging vision, strategy, and execution for her clients through her quick adaptability in any environment.

A proven senior executive and strategic operations professional with deep experience transforming management processes, operations, and organizations for maximum value, she works with senior government and industry leaders at a global level. She is a coveted expert participating on panels, briefing large audiences, and conducting radio and television interviews. Nicole previously served as Director and Chief of Staff for Grant Thornton LLP’s Enterprise Technology Strategy and Innovation consulting business; Director of Strategic Business Outcomes and Deputy Director of the Center for Transforming Health at the MITRE Corporation; Executive Director of the Enterprise Program Management Office at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; and as a Senior Executive at the Bureau of Economic Analysis, where she oversaw the development, analysis, and distribution of U.S. Gross Domestic Product and other macroeconomic statistics for the U.S.

She also leverages her experience as an executive public sector Chief of Staff to guide C-Suite executives in achieving mission-focused outcomes. Kai’s expertise in human-centered design, design thinking, and human-centered marketing bring clear, creative, and consistent approaches to organizational challenges and obstacles.
