Executive Consultant

The Executive Consultant supports Emerald One’s client delivery and internal strategic goals from an expert-level perspective. This professional brings a unique mixture of business, measurement, and operational expertise to their role. The Executive Consultant will leverage Emerald One’s program management processes, policies, and frameworks and their significant hands-on experience and expertise to develop and deliver client-facing and internal deliverables including strategies, operating models, performance measurement approaches, and more. The consultant works alongside client and internal leadership to define holistic strategies that combine business objectives with technology opportunities, then guides the client through execution and operation of the strategies. This professional brings significant practical and operational experience, understands best practices and works to define strategies that may include governance, organizational structure and staffing, enterprise architecture models, business capability models, process, and performance measurement and management models.

The ideal candidate understands and embodies Emerald One’s quality goals, maintains a high level of autonomy in all work, and possesses excellent leadership qualities, with the ability to maximize the talents of the team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops a strong understanding of Emerald One’s methodologies and identity to ensure they are leveraged in its program management approach;

  • Represents Emerald One in day-to-day client interactions specific to program management and delivery activities;

  • Leads projects and ensures overall quality of delivery;

  • Reports progress of projects at major stages of their conception, creation, and execution;

  • Support executive clients and assist in establishing and implementing a vision, roadmap, and governance to address present business needs and support future growth;

  • Interfaces and provides direction, guidance and consulting to the highest levels within the client organizations specfically in the areas of orgnaiztional assessment and design, strategic planning, business andprocess improvements, and performance management

  • Authors white papers, thought pieces, and models that support Emerald One’s clients achieve their strategic objectives

  • Facilitate executive sessions to assess and drive adoption of new strategic directions established by the team

  • Impact analysis of current operating models and digital/technology transformation;

  • Contributes as a  member of client delivery team to ensure consistent communication, coordinated client relationship management, and integrated service delivery

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience developing and implementing business practices, strategies, and regulations

  • Significant strategic program management experience

  • Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills

  • Expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust performance management and measurement systems in a variety of environments

  • Ability to analyze complex problems and make prompt decisions

  • Impeccable client relationship management skills

  • Experience simplifying complex processes and designing and implementing new operational processes

  • Expert-level attention to detail and deliverable quality control

A successful candidate for the role of Performance Management Executive Consultant can demonstrate a history of exceptional achievement in outlining the measures, goals, and objectives required to make strategy a reality. They have an established portfolio of instituting successful performance measurement programs in large companies or organizations, or in complex and challenging environments.

Education Needed: Minimum Masters degree in relevant areas including technology, business, communications, operations, organizational design, or similar. Advanced knowledge in business management and/or program management, analysis, and performance management preferred.

Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including operational experience in business or government. Recommended at least 5 years in program management and/or client delivery for top-tier corporate or government clients.

Senior Strategic Communication Consultant

The Senior Strategic Communication Consultant supports the company’s strategic and tactical communications work, both client-facing and internally. A strong writer with sound judgment, the consultant leads initiatives in partnership with and oversight of an executive member, understands and promotes Emerald One’s methodologies and quality goals, and maintains a high level of autonomy in all work while seeking to inspire leaders to reach their best future.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing a strong understanding of Emerald One’s methodologies and identity to ensure they are leveraged in client-facing communications and outreach activities;

  • Representing Emerald One in day-to-day client interactions specific to projects within the consultant’s assigned portfolio and leading a team assigned within the portfolio;

  • Providing advisory input to and developing strategic communication-focused client products as well as Emerald One corporate communication projects;

  • Implementing strategies developed by Emerald One executive team on behalf of clients;

  • Facilitating information and trend sharing with the executive team and other team members;

  • Improving overall team performance and deliverable quality;

  • Providing informed consultation and leadership on projects;

  • Providing timely communications expertise to clients by responding to inquiries;

  • As required, developing client communications products such as direct executive communications, campaign strategies, and virtual and live audience presentations with an appropriate level of executive review and minimal revision.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to connect individual communications activities or products to higher-level strategies and goals

  • Ability to write story-driven content about complex technical subjects and projects that engages target audiences and enhances the company’s image, with the appropriate level of director supervision

  • Sensitivity to diverse audiences and demonstrated sound judgment about messaging

  • The interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain strong working relationships with executives, senior technical experts, and a variety of staff around the world

  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities

  • Expert communication and presentation skills, especially in a federal agency environment

  • Demonstrated ability to use approved channels to deliver communications content

  • Experience creating and distributing content for large organizations

  • Ability to reason swiftly and make prompt decisions

  • Expert-level attention to detail and maintaining quality control of deliverables (proofreading, presentation aesthetics, organization, delivery, etc.) are a must

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple client and project production deadlines and work products

Education Needed: Bachelor’s degree required in English, Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communications, or other relevant major.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in communications or relevant field. Equivalency potential based upon seniority or visibility of prior experience.
